For every amount of cm we stretched on the rubber band the higher the average height was .55m. We found out that the G.P.E was 8.6mJ. Next, we stretched the rubber band 2cm and the average height was 1.21m then the G.P.E was 19mJ. The last time we stretched it was 3cm and the average height was 1.12m. The G.P.E for that third time was 17.6mJ. Every time we stretch the rubber band more, the straw goes higher in the air. When you release the rocket there is kinetic energy. Also when the straw is in the air there is zero E.P.E and zero G.P.E.

While we were testing the rocket out we went through some problems because the rubber band broke and the straw didn't go in the air at all. We messed up on the numbers because we moved the decimal point to the opposite side. In the data there was manipulated and responding variable. The manipulated variable was the amount of the rubber band we stretched. The responding variable was how high the straw went in the air. Every time we stretched the rubber band more the higher the straw went. This was because the more E.P.E there is the more G.P.E there will be.
